Twilight Zone, Time Enough At Last starring Burgess Meredith

What You Need (S1, Ep12): A strange peddler frequents a bar selling people items they soon find themselves needing. One man sees this and tries to take advantage of the situation.
The Monsters are Due on Maple Street (S1, Ep22): Lights in the sky? Power outages? Aliens! Everyone goes crazy and accuses everybody of being aliens.
*People Are Alike All Over (S1, Ep25): Man lands on Mars, but the rest of his crew dies. Finds friendly martians who are more than happy to take care of him. They give him food and a Earth-like house, what could go wrong?
The Howling Man (S2, Ep5): A man stumbles on a cathedral of strange monks when caught in a storm. The leader is hesitant to let the man in, then we learn the leader claims to be imprisoning The Devil inside.
*Eye of the Beholder (S2, Ep6): In a futuristic hospital, a team of doctors is doing what they can to make a young woman not look like such a “hideous abomination”.
The Obsolete Man (S2, Ep29): A futuristic, 1984-esque society where a Librarian tries to defend his job while The Leader tries to prove him obsolete.
*The Midnight Sun (S3, Ep10): The world’s orbit got interrupted, and it is slowly getting closer and closer to the sun. Two women try their best to stay cool and ration their remaining water supply.
*Five Characters in Search of an Exit (S3, Ep14): An army general, a Clown, a Dancer,a Scotsman and a Bum all wake up in a strange room with no recollection of how they got there.
The Little People (S3, Ep28): Two astronauts find a microscopic civilization of people on another planet. One goes power hungry and attempts to be a dictator of this civilization.
*An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge (S5, Ep23): Before being hanged, a Civil War era man escapes and attempts to reunite with his beloved, while being a fugitive. (This is actually not an original Twilight Zone episode, but a short French film they decided to air as an episode)
The Encounter (S5, Ep31): A very proud American WWII Vet, hires a Japanese gardener and they stumble across some of his War memorabilia in the attic. A pretty powerful episode about racism, considering it aired in the early 60’s.

* Episodes marked with an asterisk are episodes that include a twist at the end that made the episode as enjoyable as it was.
The other episodes are simply fun, good stories, and make you think.
While I love the show, there are MANY episodes that haven’t aged well, were simply boring/had overdone ideas, or seemed like they a great idea for a twist ending, but had to stretch a 15 minute set up to fit the time frame.

Example 1: The special effects of some episodes makes them end up even cheesier than the already ridiculous premise - As seen in A Thing About Machines, when various household electronics attack a crazy man.
Example 2: There are at least three episodes where the twist at the end involves Earth being the “other planet”, as well as a large number of “stranded alone” episodes.
Example 3: Time Enough At Last - While indeed a classic episode, and maybe it’s because Family Guy ruined the surprise ending, but I feel like 80% of this episode is of him trying to read a book, and then 15% of explosion and 5% “But that’s not fair!”

This may be the most famous photograph of Frs. Mariano Gomes, Jose Burgos, and Jacinto Zamora but there are doubts regarding the authenticity of such photograph. Some Historians believe that they were never photograhed together before they were executed in 1872. Perhaps this image was done by an artist after their martyrdom. The artists aimed that the 3 priest to be joined in one image. People who are realated or familiar to the three may have been interviewed so that the artist can draft the image. Very much like a cartographic sketch.

The three, know as GOMBURZA, were executed in February 17, 1872 because of subversion arising from the 1872 Cavite Mutiny which was the pretext needed by the authorities to redress a perceived humiliation from the principal objective, José Burgos, who threatened the established order. They were interned in the Paco Cemetery and Jose Rizal dedicated the El Filibusterismo in their memory.

Gomburza or GOMBURZA is an acronym denoting the surnames of the priests Mariano Gómez, José Apolonio Burgos, and Jacinto Zamora, three Filipino priests who were executed on 17 February 1872 at Bagumbayan in Manila, Philippines by Spanish colonial authorities on charges of subversion arising from the 1872 Cavite mutiny. Their execution had a profound effect on many Filipinos; José Rizal, the national hero, would dedicate his novel El filibusterismo to their memory.

The uprising by workers in the Cavite Naval Yard was the pretext needed by the authorities to redress a perceived humiliation from the principal objective, José Burgos, who threatened the established order.
